Up around 8 or 8:30 or so. Woke up with a sore throat and some head congestion, which was a bit of a downer. At this moment, I'm blaming being in and out of air conditioning frequently during our car hunt yesterday; if that's the case, this should clear up pretty quickly. Did skip the exercise thing because of it, however. Devoted some morning time to catching up on mail, and then finally set out for work about 10 am.
Reason for going into work was to make sure that everything was totally wound up, no loose ends dangling, etc. Spent a couple hours catching up on the weekend stuff, grabbed some lunch, then charged into my ACTION mailbox. Several hours later, I reached a stopping point, where there were still some issues open, but nothing I could hope to solve without more work than I had time for. In those cases, let people know I'd be pretty out of touch for a bit, which will have to do. Called it good, and headed for home, about 4 pm.
Got home to find TheWife at the grocery store. Decided to grab a nap while waiting for her return. Eventually, she gave me a call, and I got up and schlepped bags up the stairs. After that, it was back to nap land for me. Got back up a short time later and started in on the few remaining things I needed to do before we head for the hospital.
'Bout this time, had some dinner -- steak, potato, corn on the cob. Excellent, per usual. Then it was back into the fray. Finally got finished with the "hospital list", and charged into my own to-do list. Got caught up on a couple of mailing lists, noted a number of blog-worthy items ("update blog" is the very last item on my list; we'll see if I actually get around to it), and whittled my personal ACTION mailbox to under 60. Finally collapsed into bed around 1:30.
