Up around 6:30. Feeling the effects of two nights worth of drinking, that's for sure. Bit of an abbreviated morning routine, due to the guests, but managed to hit the highlights before waking everybody up to start the day.

Got D. out the door and on the way to visit his parents place up in PA farm country, then headed out to work, leaving Greg and Jessamyn in the care of TheWife. I think the plan was to do some laundry and then Metro into the city.

Sort of a lazy day at work. In around 10, due to the guest-age, then did various sorts of small catch-up work (including compiling KDE, again). Also had a bit of policy-type discussion with C., and ended up making a list of things to move from local installs to network-based installs -- lots of compiling fun in the future there.

Bailed out about 3:30 to return home to TheWife. Found her in bed, grabbing a bit of a nap, and quickly joined her. Got back up around 5 and read email and stuff while preparing to head into the city to meet Jessamyn and Greg.

I ran the rally flag up the weblogs-social-dc pole, but not many people responded. TheWife and I arrived at the Brickskeller to find Lyn and Jen at the bar. Venturing into the back room (aka, the blogger ghetto), I found Jessamyn and Greg, with their friend J. By the time we all moved back to the back room, Steve had shown up as well, completing the group for the evening. We then proceeded to do what bloggers do when they get together: drink, bullshit about other bloggers, make geeky jokes -- you know, the usual. A good time was had by all, I think.

About 10 pm, we all spilled out of the smoky coolness of the bar and into the clear mugginess of DC. One hike to the Metro later, and we split into MD-bound and VA-bound groups to make our respective ways home.

Once we arrived back home, we sat around and BS-ed for awhile, then watched stage 7 of the Tour (all hail Tivo!), then went to bed, around midnight.

Good day, excpet for that work thing in the middle.
