Rolled out of bed around 6 or so. Did the mail/web/coffee/chat dance for a bit longer than normal, as I was catching up on some threads on one of my mailing lists. Hit the shower about 9:00, and ended up getting to work about 9:45.
Spent a goodly part of the morning, and into the afternoon, dealing with another bout of front-end problems at work. We may have identified one of the reasons things tend to stay screwed up once they get screwed up (positive feedback loop == BAD!), but I'm not sure we know what the trigger event is. The systems group has some suspects, but I don't think the software group is wanting to hear the list.
Lunch happened a little late, due to the above, but when it finally did happen, it was a sub from the corner pizza joint.
Built out a machine in the afternoon, finishing that task. Also wrote up (gasp! documentation!) some HOWTOs on the install process we're using. I still need to revise the hell out of them, which means doing more installs. Also need to clean up the install area quite a bit -- that might happen tomorrow.
Bailed out of work about 4:45, on account of having another baby class. Got home about 5:15, took a short nap, had some dinner (pizza), then went to class. Class was okay -- it continues to not suck.
Home around 9:45, and then I spent most of the next three hours catching up on a different group I belong to. I was about 600 messages behind, but by the time I went to bed, I had wittled that down to 0. Plus under 10 in the ACTION folder! Yay me.
Felt like a moderately productive day.
